Henderson named ‘Most Affordable College’ in Arkansas

Henderson State University has been named the “Most Affordable College” in Arkansas. The ranking was determined by GOBankingRates, which analyzed “colleges across a variety of factors, including in-state tuition and fees, as well as room and board.” Approximately 95 percent of Henderson students receive grant or scholarship aid, and academic scholarships are available based on high school grade point average.

Henderson graduate teams up with professor to publish paper

Michael Brotherton is conducting research under the direction of Dr. Brett Serviss, a professor in Henderson’s new Natural Sciences program. They recently co-authored a paper entitled “A First Report of Hibiscus mutabilis (Malvaceae) from Arkansas,” which was published in the floristics and taxonomy journal "Phytoneuron."

Dr. Trey Berry appointed chancellor of Henderson State University

Arkansas State University System President Chuck Welch today announced the appointment of Arkadelphia native and longtime higher education administrator Dr. Trey Berry as Henderson State University’s next chancellor, effective Jan. 1, 2024.
