Langley’s newest book in popular psychology series just released

Dr. Travis Langley’s newest book in a series analyzing superheroes and other characters through psychological research has been released.

Doctor Who Psychology: Times Changes is the “regenerated second edition” of his earlier book, Doctor Who Psychology: A Madman with a Box. It was updated for the 60th anniversary of the popular BBC television series.

Langley, distinguished professor of psychology at Henderson State, is best known for Batman and Psychology: A Dark and Stormy Knight, which has sold more than 300,000 copies with the second edition released two years ago.

By analyzing the characters and stories through the lens of real psychological research, these and his other books, more importantly, use those examples to teach the psychology of real human nature to readers throughout the world.

Organizations such as the American Psychological Association have featured Langley as keynote speaker. The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Saturday Evening Post, Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, CNN, MTV, and many other media outlets have interviewed him about both popular culture and real current events.

Langley appears as an expert interviewee in documentary programs such as Necessary Evil, Legends of the Night, AMC Visionaries, Pharma Bro, and Hulu’s Batman & Bill.

Psychology Today carries Langley’s blog, “Beyond Heroes and Villains.”
