"Earning a graduate degree is very important, especially a specialty degree. This degree tells others that you don't believe in complacency and always have more to learn and grow in your career."
The students were awarded $1,250 for both the first and second semester of their senior year based on academic performance, essays, and a desire to work for CHI St. Vincent after graduation for at least 18 months.

Robinson says a master's degree in Sport Administration provides a sense of accomplishment and confidence. "My graduate study experience has greatly influenced my personal growth and development."

To be named to the Chancellor’s List, a student must have achieved a 4.0 grade point average for the entire semester. To make the Honor Roll, a student must have received at least a 3.5 grade point average for the semester.
“This grant will allow us to expand not only the number of nursing students and instructors in our program, but also the quality of nursing education through equipment updates and other improvements," said Henderson Chancellor Dr. Trey Berry.
The academy is designed to prepare public school educators licensed in P-4, K-6, 4-8, or 7-12 ELA, science, or math to teach students with exceptionalities in inclusive settings.
Henderson State University will continue offering a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice for current and future students. The university has decided to continue offering the degree due to two key factors—available career opportunities and student interest in the program.
The institute is a high-quality educator training program for Arkansas-licensed educators leading to their eligibility to apply for an Arkansas ESOL Endorsement. The in-person session will be held July 15-20, with online follow-up sessions.
Students Zoie Autrey, Michael Brotherton, Lydia Serviss, and Tiffany Taylor were accompanied by Dr. Brett Serviss and Dr. Renn Tumlison for the event held at the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith.
The ceremony for graduates from the academic areas of Health, Education, and Social Sustainability will start at 10 a.m. At 2 p.m., graduates from the areas of Applied Professional Science and Technology; Arts and Humanities; and Business, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship, will receive their degrees.
Arkadelphia banker Lori Ross was honored as the Young Alumni inductee, and HCJ CPAs & Advisors, under the leadership of Henderson alumnus Brent Sharpmack, was honored as Business of the Year.
The concert will held in the Russell Fine Arts Center's Harwood Recital Hall at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public. The performances can also be viewed online via Facebook Live at facebook.com/HSUBand.
