The Early Childhood Pre-K Alternative Preparation Teacher Academy will be funded by a $356,337 grant from the Arkansas Department of Education for the 2022-23 school year.
The event will be held in the Garrison Center Ballroom beginning at 9 a.m. The schedule, and information about parking and where to enter the building, is available at hsu.edu/graduation.
The Office of Academic Success will include four academic programs: Business Innovation and Entrepreneurship; Applied Professional Science and Technology; Health, Education, and Social Sustainability; and Arts and Humanities.
The showcase features events ranging from concerts and theatre productions, to research presentations and project demonstrations.
As the Senior Student Affairs and Enrollment Management Officer for Henderson, Laird will serve on the university’s Strategic Leadership Team and report to the Chief Learning Officer/Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs.
Henderson chemistry professor Dr. Suzanne Neidhart applied for a Forrest E. Mars. Jr. Chocolate History grant, and learned recently that she will receive $5,500 for the project.
The workshop is a week-long, hands-on experience for students ages 13-18. Participants engage in a variety of studio art activities, including collage, assemblage, fiber arts, and mixed media.
Distinguished Alumni awards will be presented to Brown Hardman, the late Maurice R. Horton Sr., and Anita Cabe and the late Charles Cabe. Lloyd Jackson and Chris and Debra Wewers will receive the “H” Award, and the Young Alumni Award will be presented to Beau Baker.
Haven Hughes, a senior from Little Rock, was first runner-up; Teddi-Anne Hulke, a senior from Cabot, was second runner-up. Hulke also won the People’s Choice Award. Blaise Batson of Arkadelphia was crowned Miss HSU Outstanding Teen 2022.
Boswell joins an esteemed group of historians who have shown a special aptitude for historical investigation through distinguished published works or other exemplary scholarly activity.
Five performances will be presented beginning Feb. 24 in the Arkansas Hall Studio Theatre
Wilson majored in theatre arts & communication, and co-owns an award-winning restaurant and food truck in Cabot with her husband Justin.
The program on Feb. 5 features student soloists who were selected as winners of a competition held in November.
The Wendell O. Evanson Band Scholarship was made possible by a $25,000 gift from Dr. Lydia Evanson. The first scholarship will be awarded in fall 2022.
