Henderson State Black Alumni Chapter funds its second endowed scholarship

Susan Ford graduated from Henderson State in 1991 with a music education degree. She currently teaches music at Cabot Junior High South.
"My own incredible experiences at Henderson inspire me to give back through service on the Alumni Advisory Board. I look forward to sharing ideas and energy to help make Henderson a welcoming home for all Reddies."
Ratcliff is currently vice-president for intercollegiate athletics at Rogers State University in Claremore, Oklahoma., and had previously served as director of athletics at the University of Arkansas-Monticello.
"When it came time to select a college, I was lucky enough to have multiple offers and opportunities to attend institutions all over the country. My heart kept bringing me back to Henderson."
The Max Brown Memorial Scholarship will benefit graduates of Arkadelphia, Gurdon, Centerpoint, or Ouachita high schools — the communities that meant so much to Brown throughout his life.
"The courses, experiences, and connections I made at Henderson prepared me for my career. The professors dedicated their time and energy to helping me grow both academically and personally."
