    • There are no partial lease extensions. You must pay for the entire summer.
    • Information about moving, checking out, etc. will be sent as time gets closer and we will update you/keep you posted via your HSU email.
    • If you are a CURRENT residence hall student and will be residing in the apartments in fall 2024, you will NOT be able to move into your apartment until fall 2024 move-in day, which is on August 14. Exceptions will be granted for early move-in days for University-related activities, such as athletes or band members who have to return to campus early. Those details will be announced this summer.
    • Students in Ridge Pointe and Reddie Villas can opt to move to West Hall (summer housing), but you must move all of your belongings and fully check out of your apartment for the summer.

  • Storage:
    • Any Reddie Villas or Ridge Pointe resident returning to their SAME room for fall 2024 can store your belongings in your room for the summer. If you are going to a different room, apartment or residence hall in fall 2024, you CANNOT do summer storage.
    • Summer storage is ONLY for apartment students. Residence hall rooms cannot be used for summer storage.
    • Storage this year will look different for those who have done this in the past. When you do not use or live in a room for weeks at a time, air flow does not occur and this can cause mold or other issues. Due to not being able to keep your room climate controlled and to avoid your personal belongings being affected by mildew, if you decide to do storage, you must box your belongs up and store them in your closet. We have had too many issues in the past with belongings being affected due to the lack of air flow in rooms, as your room is not designed to be a storage unit. Therefore, ALL of your items must be boxed up or bagged in suite cases and then stored in your room's closet. This includes your items from your bathroom and kitchen/common areas, as well. In addition to this allowing your belongings less of a chance to attract mildew, the maintenance department will complete minor repairs in your room if you are doing storage, such as deep-cleaning carpets, painting, etc.
    • Do not sign-up for storage if you will be returning to your apartment at all. In that case, you need to do lease extension. For storage, we take your keys and you cannot reside in your room until we open back up in August.
  • Deadline and cancellations:
    • The deadline to apply for lease extension or storage is by April 19. No late applications will be accepted.
    • Cancellation for lease extension and summer storage: If you decide that you need to cancel your lease extension or summer storage reservation, you MUST cancel by April 26. If you do not cancel by this day you will be charged. We will share the cancellation form with you in April so that we only share it with those who have applied.
