My family has been going to Henderson since the early 1930s. My grandfather, Olin (Nunny) Hardman, played Reddie football, and my grandmother, Virginia Louise Pilkington, majored in Education and was salutatorian of her class. Numerous uncles, aunts and cousins also graduated from HSU over the years. It’s a proud family tradition.

Barranco appointed interim choral director

A native Arkansan with 15 years of experience teaching in secondary and post secondary settings, Barranco comes to Henderson from Texas Tech University where he completed his D.M.A. in choral conducting.

Henderson State University’s Ellis College of Arts & Sciences will begin offering new graduate certificates in English and history this fall.

Nursing masters program accredited by CCNE

Henderson began offering an online Master’s of Science in Nursing degree in 2018 with two tracks, including Family Nurse Practitioner and Nursing Administrator.

Dr. Janice (Goodwin) Walker is system executive vice president and chief nursing executive for Baylor Scott and White Health in Texas. She graduated from Henderson in 1989 with a degree in nursing.

Henderson announces Dean's List, Honor Roll

To be named to the Dean’s List, a student must have achieved a 4.0 grade point average for the entire semester. To make the Honor Roll, a student must have received at least a 3.5 grade point average for the semester.
