The nationally recognized Educational Leadership program at Henderson State University serves PreK-12 educators in Arkansas and beyond. The program offers Master of Science in Education (MSE) and Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degrees as well as programs of study for building and district level leadership licenses. The EDL programs at Henderson State University prepare graduate students for school leadership positions at both the building and district levels.
The programs are driven by research and are delivered through coursework aligned to the standards for National Educational Leadership Preparation (NELP), the Professional Standards for Educational Leaders (PSEL), and the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE). Students gain awareness, knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary to be productive and successful educational leaders.
The courses meet synchronously online. Instruction, lectures, and student presentations are delivered using web conferencing software. The course management system is utilized for continual communication with professors and class colleagues and for management of assignments. Online class sessions are scheduled throughout each semester and attendance is recommended.
