Alumni Profile: Janice Walker, Class of 1989

Dr. Janice (Goodwin) Walker is system executive vice president and chief nursing executive for Baylor Scott and White Health in Texas. She graduated from Henderson in 1989 with a degree in nursing.

Henderson announces Dean's List, Honor Roll

To be named to the Dean’s List, a student must have achieved a 4.0 grade point average for the entire semester. To make the Honor Roll, a student must have received at least a 3.5 grade point average for the semester.

Teachers College Spring 2020 Updates

This has been an unprecedented semester for Henderson State University and for Teachers College, Henderson faculty and students it has been no exception. Over the course of the Spring semester faculty and students shifted to remote instruction on March 13th due to the Covid-19 virus. Since that time, we have seen professors and students step up to the plate in regards to student learning and learning of their own. Henderson names new associate band director

Dontay Douglas is active as a guest conductor, clinician, and adjudicator for festivals across the Southeast and has presented at state and regional conferences. He is also noted for his drill designs.

Taylor set to publish new caving adventure book

Hidden Nature: Wild Southern Caves will be released in August by Vanderbilt University Press. Dr. Michael Ray Taylor says the book covers his long obsession with wild caves in the South.
