COVID-19 Operational Plan

Health

  • All students seeking appointments should fill out health and/or counseling visiting forms and email the forms to Cindy Dillavou.

  • After emailing completed forms, a staff member will contact you to schedule an appointment time.

  • COVID-19 testing will be available at the Student Health Center and will be provided via a drive-through service.

  • The Arkansas Department of Health will provide contact tracing with assistance from the Student Health Center once a positive case is identified.

  • Students who require isolation/quarantine will receive guidance and assistance from both the Arkansas Department of Health and Student Health and Counseling Center.

  • Housing will hold a small number of suites and apartments in a variety of buildings to use as potential quarantine spaces.

  • All students in any stage of testing, isolation, or quarantine will be expected to leave campus until they are cleared to return. Students should create a personal plan in advance for housing arrangements off campus in the event that they test positive for COVID-19 or are exposed to someone who is positive for COVID-19.

  • Housing will work with students who cannot go home on a case-by-case basis to place them in isolation rooms. Health Services staff will provide documents and info on next steps for each student.

  • Housing staff will deliver meals and remove trash from students in quarantine or isolation daily. We will work with students on a case-by-case basis for other necessities, if a student should run out of an item while in quarantine or isolation.

  • Students, faculty, staff, and campus visitors are required to wear face coverings to minimize the potential of COVID-19 virus spread. This expectation aligns with instructions from the Arkansas Department of Health and the Governor’s Office directive for state employees.

  • Face coverings must be worn in classrooms, offices, public spaces and areas used by multiple people. Face coverings should fit snugly, completely cover the nose and mouth, and consist of at least two layers of cloth. The university will provide one face covering for students, faculty, and staff. Some additional face coverings will be available primarily for students.
