Special Education K-12

Every learner is unique. Choosing to devote your career to working with learners with exceptionalities is a rewarding decision that makes a significant impact on each student you teach. If you are interested in making a difference in the learning experience of exceptional learners, majoring in Special Education K-12 will help you on that path. This program is designed to prepare you to work with students in Kindergarten through 12th Grade.

Special Education candidates are required to pass the Special Education: Core Knowledge and Applications 0354/5354 Praxis assessment, Praxis 5511- Fundamental Subjects, and Arkansas Foundations of Reading prior to receiving their standard license.

Please refer to the ETS Arkansas website for the most up-to-date Praxis test numbers. The Pearson website will provide information on the Arkansas Foundations of Reading Exam.
