The Department of Psychology prepares students for furthering their education and careers in a variety of fields that include counseling and therapy, research with humans and animals, human resources and management, and work in the public domain. If you've ever thought about how your future can benefit others, studying psychology may be the path for you. Faculty at the Department of Psychology teach and involve students with the study of human behavior and mind, through critical thinking, reflections on content they study, and independent research, which culminates in presentations and publications. Faculty-student research in the past has involved stress behavior, popular culture and religion. The department offers an experimentally-based curricula designed to prepare students for graduate studies and careers in all areas of psychological science or human interaction.
