Henderson State well-represented at Miss Arkansas competition

The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education’s accreditation approval is considered "the gold standard" for nursing programs, said Dr. Shelley Austin, department chair.
To be named to the Dean’s List, a student must have achieved a 4.0 grade point average for the entire semester. To make the Honor Roll, a student must have received at least a 3.5 grade point average for the semester.
Henderson is among only 79 programs in the nation to earn this distinction as an “exemplar” in the new report. It met 100% of the instructional goals across each of the elementary mathematics topic areas.
The plan will be recommended to the Arkansas State University System Board of Trustees at a special meeting May 5.
The Early Childhood Pre-K Alternative Preparation Teacher Academy will be funded by a $356,337 grant from the Arkansas Department of Education for the 2022-23 school year.
