Henderson State University spring commencement May 9
Spring commencement ceremonies will be held at Henderson State University Friday, May 9, in the Duke Wells Center with more than 330 undergraduate and graduate students receiving their degrees.
The ceremony for College of Business and Teachers College graduates will start at 9 a.m. Doors will open for the general public at 8 a.m. Dr. Joseph Campbell, assistant professor of Counselor Education, will give the faculty charge. Ethan Lyles, a Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate from Hot Springs, will give the student response.
The ceremony for College of Performing Arts and Social Sciences and College of Aviation, Science, and Nursing will begin at 1 p.m. Doors will open to the public at noon. Dr. Basil Miller, professor of engineering and physics, will provide the faculty charge. The student response will be given by Tate Sloan, an engineering and physics dual major from Schertz, Texas.
General parking is available in the Formby Athletic Center lot next to the Duke Wells Center, 1192 M.H. Russell Drive, and on the main campus with free shuttle service available at 12th and Wilson streets. Accessible parking is available in the South Wells Center lot directly in front of the center.
