Christiane Uzoh crowned Miss Henderson State University 2024

Christiane Uzoh, a senior marketing major from Beaumont, Texas, was crowned Miss Henderson State University 2024 at the conclusion of the annual Miss HSU pageant January 28.

Felicity Frushour, a junior pre-nursing major from Texarkana, Texas, was named first runner-up, and McKenzie Sanders, a sophomore biology pre-med major from Little Rock, was second runner-up. Other candidates were Ja’Tiyah Johnson of Monticello, and Ruthie Smith of Glenwood.

More than $8,000 in scholarships and prizes were awarded to the participants.

Special guests included Miss Arkansas 2023 Cori Keller and Miss Arkansas Teen 2023 Allie Bell.

Uzoh was crowned by 2023 Miss HSU Gabriella Tidwell.

The Miss HSU Pageant, which was first held in 1960, is an official preliminary to Miss Arkansas, which is part of the Miss America Organization.
