Annual Honors Recital will showcase student musicians Feb. 1 at 7:30 p.m.

Henderson State University's Department of Music will present the annual Student Honors Recital Thursday, Feb. 1, at 7:30 p.m. in the Harwood Recital Hall. The performance is free and open to the public.

The program features student musicians selected from auditions in November.

Soloists include:

• Ty Rashad Dennis, tenor, who will perform Nuits d'Etoiles, Am Feierabend from "Winterreise."

• Will Cole, trombone, who will perform II. Quasi una Leggenda and III. Finale from "Concerto pour Trombone et Piano."

• Christian Sweeney, bass-baritone, who will perform Der Soldat, On the Road to Mandalay.

• Kaden Manley, trombone, who will perform I. Jazz Feeling from "Arrows of Time."

Alexis Barnhart, horn, and Heather Thayer, horn, will open the concert with Gold Coast Harmony, The Bill and Brice Polka.

KyoungHwa Molinari will accompany the performers on piano.
