Wind Ensemble Concert Oct. 6

Henderson State University’s Wind Ensemble will present its first performance of the fall on Sunday, Oct. 6, at 4 p.m. in the Arkansas Hall auditorium.

With the theme of “We Shall Overcome: The Perseverance of the Reddie Spirit,” the concert will feature Mark Camphouse’s A Movement for Rosa, a programmatic composition depicting the life and contributions of civil rights heroine Rosa Parks.

The program will also include a celebration of the life of the late Mary Jo Mann, as well as a recognition of her service to Henderson State and her long-standing relationship with the Henderson bands.
