Henderson State University’s Innovative Media Department, Henderson Television, and the HSU esports program will present a 24-hour “stream-a-thon” Nov. 2-3 to support the children’s charity Extra Life.
Extra Life was founded by gamers, and is part of the Children’s Miracle Network that supports children’s hospitals and their important mission throughout the United States.
Gamers from across the country stream a variety of video games, board games, and other entertainment each year during the Extra Life “GameDay” event to support the charity.
Since its first gameday in 2008, Extra Life has raised more than $50 million for children’s hospitals, including the Arkansas Children’s Foundation. This is the third year Henderson has participated in the stream.
