Students present research in Washington D.C.

A student research team from Henderson State University participated recently in the Council on Undergraduate Research “Posters on the Hill” event in Washington D.C.

The team included Joseph Dees, Rebecca Voss, Jarvis Warren, and Thomas Hodges. They were accompanied by Dr. Shannon Clardy, associate professor physics.

The students presented their work on the Low-Cost Laminar Flow Wind Tunnel project. They were the only team to represent Arkansas.

While in the nation’s capital, the students met with U.S. Senators John Boozman and Tom Cotton, and U.S. Rep. Bruce Westerman to discuss the importance of undergraduate research and the impact that undergraduate research has had on them, Clardy said.
