Henderson State University Theatre will present five performances of Shakespeare’s immortal classic. Performances are in the Arkansas Hall Studio Theatre at 7:30 p.m. on April 18, 19, 20, and 22, and 2:30 p.m. on April 21. A special reception will follow the opening night performance celebrating the 15-year anniversary of the opening of the Studio Theatre.
The cast of Romeo and Juliet includes a company of students, faculty, and Arkadelphia community members.

McGehee of Ozark; Sarah Miller of Malvern; Hannah Mims of Fouke; Madi Moore of Newport Beach, California; Reece Ruhl of Paragould; Kiera Russell of Sheridan; Emily Rollins Tabor of Letona; and Emily Williams of Hot Springs.
Henderson faculty members in the cast are: Tom Freeman, adjunct faculty, Department of Social Sciences; William Higgins, professor and chair, Department of Music; Laura Storm, professor, Department of Music; and Michael Taylor, professor and chair, Department of Communication and Theatre Arts. Community members include Kim Adams and Dennis Williams.
The play is under the direction of Claudia Beach, with scenic and lighting design by Douglas Gilpin. William Henshaw is the costume designer. Fight choreography is by Aaron Burnside of Hot Springs, with dance choreography by Brandon Curtis of West Memphis. The stage manager is Kirsten Shnaekel of Benton.
The HSU Theatre Box Office in Arkansas Hall will be open for advance ticket sales from 1-4 p.m. beginning Monday, April 15. All seats are reserved. Admission is $10, or free with an HSU student ID, courtesy of the Student Activities Board.
