Double dipping occurs when a single course counts toward multiple graduation requirements.
Teachers College & School of Business
Students are permitted to double dip between the Liberal Arts Core and their major and/or minor program of study. Policies governing double dipping between a major and a minor, two majors or two minors will be set by the academic departments overseeing those programs.
Ellis College of Arts & Sciences
Students are permitted to double dip between the Liberal Arts Core and their major and/or minor program of study.
No one course may satisfy requirements for both a major and a minor or for two different majors. The exception to this rule is when, in addition to the 30 or more hours in the subject area required for the major, the program requires other courses outside of the discipline. For instance, a history major requires a foreign language; however, we allow the student to use the courses toward the foreign language requirement for a minor in that langauge's course of study.
