The Henderson-NYITCOM Pre-Med Pathway prepares students for admission to medical school at the NYITCOM at A-State with no Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) scores required!

The Pre-Med Pathway is open to Henderson State freshman classes beginning each fall semester. Students should declare a natural sciences (pre-med) major and will interview for the program during the spring semester of their freshman year.
Up to ten students will be admitted to the Henderson-NYITCOM Pre-Med Pathway annually. If you are not yet enrolled at Henderson for the fall semester but are interested in the program, please contact admissions@hsu.edu.
Admission to the Pathway Program
- Arkansas resident
- Combined SAT score of at least 1100 or ACT composite score of at least 26
- Science portion of the ACT is required
- have a successful interview with the admissions committee
Admission to NYITCOM at A-State
- Must maintain 3.5 gpa in science and overall coursework
- Complete all required pre-med classes
- Receive favorable recommendation from Henderson State's premedical committee
- Pass admissions interview with NYITCOM faculty
