Professional Licensure Disclosures (Required by U.S. Department of Education; Regulations 34 CFR 668.43 (a)(5)(v))
Henderson State University strives to publish current information about degree programs and licensure requirements to facilitate students’ goals for careers and employment. Many careers, particularly in education and health professions, require professional licensure for employment, but each state and territory may have different requirements. These requirements differ between states, types of careers, and degree programs.
Licensure requirements may include examinations, background checks, and/or work experience along with other relevant requirements set by state licensing boards. If you are considering a degree program that requires licensing for employment, you are encouraged to seek guidance from your academic adviser, research the licensing requirements outside of Arkansas, and contact the appropriate licensing board for additional information.
This webpage is a starting point for your research and will be updated on a regular basis. However, state licensure requirements may change between updates. You are encouraged to check with the appropriate state licensing board to confirm licensing and employment requirements. Moreover, if you are considering transferring to another institution or moving to another state, you should check to see if transferring to another institution will impact your degree progression, financial aid, and eligibility for licensure.
Please select, from the graphic below, the academic program of interest to you and the state in which you would like to be licensed for employment. The state board and program information will appear at the bottom of this webpage along with the program contact information and disclosure.
