Nominations and applications are now being sought for the position of chancellor of Henderson State University. The institution functions as a stand-alone university within the ASU System, which includes six other higher education institutions. The chancellor serves as the chief executive officer of the institution and reports directly to the Arkansas State University System President.
The institution seeks a visionary, inclusive, decisive, creative, courageous, and progressive leader to further strengthen and develop the institution. The successful candidate will have the character and integrity that are deserving of the public trust, a demonstrable commitment to the ideals of excellence and diversity, and a successful track record working in an environment of strong shared governance. An earned doctorate or recognized terminal degree, a minimum of five years of executive leadership experience with progressively increasing responsibilities and a demonstrated record of innovation and success, and a strong track record of fiscal management are preferred.
Henderson is located in Arkadelphia, a charming community of 11,000 residents situated one hour south of Little Rock on Interstate 30. Compensation is commensurate with experience, and there is an outstanding benefits package including an on-campus residence.
