Henderson online MSE programs nationally ranked

Two of Henderson State University’s online master’s programs have been named among the country’s best programs for teaching and special education.

GoGrad.org, an emerging expert in graduate level education, recently released a new list of the Best Master’s in Teaching Programs. Henderson State’s Master of Science in Education programs in Technology Leadership and Educational Leadership were ranked fourth best in the United States.

“Earning a master’s degree provides teachers the opportunity to further the education of every one of their students,” said Wes Ricketts, GoGrad’s vice president of content and communications. “It allows teachers to grow their career, earn a higher salary, and master their craft.”

Teachers who hold a master’s degree earn an average of 10 percent more, according to the National Center for Education Statistics. GoGrad.org aims to help graduate students by identifying the schools that offer the most support in terms of career counseling, job placement and diverse programming. The guide ranks programs using the following data:

  • Number of online graduate degrees available in related subject area
  • Graduate tuition
  • Availability of academic and career counseling services
  • Availability of job placement services
  • GoGrad Peer-Based Value

Henderson State’s online master’s program in Special Education was ranked 19th in the country in the same survey from GoGrad.org.
