Homecoming court candidates announced

Homecoming activities at Henderson State University begin Oct. 21 when the student body begins voting for the 2015 homecoming queen. Thirty-one students are nominated for the homecoming court.

The 10 finalists will be announced Oct. 22 during the annual homecoming pep rally. The court will be introduced and the queen crowned during football pre-game festivities on Oct. 24 when the Reddies host the Southern Arkansas University Muleriders.

The 2015 homecoming court candidates are:

  • Ariana Caffey, a junior athletic training major from Chino Hills, California
  • Maddie McJunkins, a junior physical education and health major from Nashville
  • Tess Langley, a senior nursing major from Camden
  • Devan Jester, a junior psychology major from Gurdon
  • Vanessa Velez Mira, a freshman business major from Colombia
  • Madison Sue Meaders, a sophomore aviation management major from Morrilton
  • Kori Dement, a freshman aviation professional pilot major from Little Rock
  • Megan Ross, a senior athletic training major from Camp Hill, Pennsylvania
  • Nylla Hines, a junior communications major from North Little Rock
  • Brittany Jones, a junior psychology major from Texarkana, Arkansas
  • Katie Forga, a senior human services major from Mount Ida
  • Colby Hartley, a freshman aviation major from Lonoke
