Lacy to lead student activities; Lee is new Greek Life coordinator

Julie Lacy has been hired as Henderson State University’s director of student activities, and Donovan Lee is Henderson’s new coordinator for Greek Life.

Lacy is responsible for coordinating and implementing student engagement center programs and campus life activities, along with coordinating student organizations and assisting with program evaluations.

Lacy will provide oversight to the Greek coordinator, student engagement, Student Activities Board and Student Government Association. She will also work closely with Student Health and Wellness, the Dunn Recreation Center, the Reddie Help Center, and the Reddie Student Success Center.

"Students who are more engaged on campus simply do better. Those students are more likely to reach their goals and enjoy themselves along the way,” Lacy said. “We hope students participate in opportunities to feel connected and involved with campus life. We want students to feel their voices are heard."

Lee will develop and implement a comprehensive risk management plan with sorority and fraternity life organizations, hold regular meetings with all executive boards, and regularly coordinate with and seek the advice and participation of Henderson’s sorority and fraternity alumni.

Lee will oversee and organize recruitment events for the NPC and IFC organizations, and manage and organize Greek Week events. He will also monitor eligibility for all chapter members and maintain regular communication with all chapter-related personnel.

"Being a Reddie Alumnus, through Greek Life, we impact the lives of our students in ways that our Alma Mater has impacted me and so many others,” said Lee. “The future of Greek Life here is bright. It is a great way to encourage student involvement, enhance leadership, and rally Reddies – past, present, and future."
