Job Description:      Henderson State University invites applications for the position of University Guest Services Coordinator. The university seeks a dynamic, innovative, and visionary individual to deliver an excellent experience for our campus guests, including prospective students and their families. The University Guest Services Coordinator will coordinate, implement and execute campus events for prospective and admitted students including facility selection, menu planning, transportation arrangements, and multimedia.

Working collaboratively with the Associate Provost of Enrollment Services and Admissions and the Admissions Team, the Guest Services Coordinator will conduct comprehensive planning for a wide variety of recruitment events targeting prospective and admitted students. This position will coordinate and supervise the HSU Reddie Ambassador Student Organization. The University Guest Services Coordinator will maintain and manage the Department of Enrollment Services and Admissions’ master calendar of events in coordination with the university calendar; serve as a liaison with the university community; provide guidance and advice on-site and in advance of events; schedule individual and group visits to campus; and communicate with students, parents and/or groups regarding campus tours and campus preview and orientation days. With oversight from the Associate Provost of Enrollment Services and Admissions, the Guest Services Coordinator will develop and maintain comprehensive budgets and be responsible for controlling costs and tracking expenditures.

The individual must be extremely organized, and capable of effectively managing multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision. Excellent computer skills are required and include proficiency using a variety of Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel, as well as Google apps. At a minimum, the candidate must hold an earned baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution of higher education.  Qualified candidates should have at least two years of experience in event planning or public relations.  Experience working in a higher education environment and/or with young adults is highly desirable.

Salary:       $40,000 to $45,000

The University:    Henderson is located in Arkadelphia, a charming, family-centered community of 11,000 residents situated one hour south of Little Rock. Nestled in the foothills of the Ouachita Mountains, the community is home to two universities, a strong public school system, a thriving medical community, two recreational rivers, the iconic Lake DeGray, and is approximately 30 miles from historic Hot Springs National Park, one of the great American treasures.
