Upward Bound Academic Advisor

Position:  Upward Bound Academic Advisor. Position contingent upon grant funding.

Job Description:  The Upward Bound Academic Advisor will provide academic, career, financial and transfer advisement and assistance to all HSU Upward Bound students.

Qualifications:  The Academic Advisor will have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) in psychology, sociology, human services, education or a closely related field as well as two years of full-time counseling, mentoring and/or teaching experience in programs serving low-income and/or first-generation youth from diverse backgrounds. Counseling or social work licensing is also a plus.
