Staff Athletic Trainer

Position:  Henderson State University, an NCAA Division II member of the Great American Conference, is accepting applications for the position of staff athletic trainer.

Job Description:   The staff athletic trainer will work in cooperation with the Athletic Training Program (ATP) Director concerning all aspects of Educational Program Development. Duties may include, but are not limited to: sports coverage with travel, athletic training room supervision, teaching, and clinical education instruction within the ATP, involvement in the CAATE process, campus and community service. The staff athletic trainer will be supervised by the Assistant Athletics Director for Sports Medicine for all matters pertaining to Henderson State University athletics. This position will require work outside of regular business hours including evenings and weekend. This position will require travel. The successful applicant must possess a valid driver’s license and a driving record that is acceptable to the university.

Additional requirements include a master’s degree, experience in teaching and supervising athletic training students in clinical performances, experience working as an athletic trainer in men’s and women's sports, experience with CAATE accreditation and the ability to lift 30lbs unaided.
