Position:  School of Business Open Rank Professor of Accounting (Tenure Track) – Fall 2018      

Job Description:  Teaching area sought is generally flexible; however, candidates willing and able to teach financial accounting and/or accounting analytics courses are preferable. Teaching load, which may include sophomore through graduate level courses, is three classes per semester and summer teaching/support is available. The School seeks a balanced teacher-scholar with a commitment to excellent teaching, as well as outstanding scholarship. The successful candidate will also be asked to provide academic advising for students, as well as service to the school of business, University, and community.

Qualifications: Qualified applicants must have an earned doctorate (or be ABD with expected completion by August 2018) in Accounting or related field from an accredited institution (AACSB preferred). Accounting certification is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will have a primary research and teaching interest in Accounting, but the preferred candidate will also have a secondary teaching and/or research ability and relevant experience in analytics.

Salary:  Commensurate with qualification and experience.

Department: The School of Business is accredited by AACSB and employs 20 faculty, who teach more than 500 students majoring in Accounting, Business Administration (with concentrations in Entrepreneurship, Finance, Management, Marketing, and Management Information Systems), and Aviation.  The  school also offers an MBA program.
