Instructor of Aviation

POSITION:  Instructor of Aviation. Position available August 2017.

JOB DESCRIPTION:  Responsibilities include teaching aviation courses, advising students, administering flight/drone instruction, and other duties as assigned commensurate to the position.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor’s degree required, a master’s degree is desirable. Applicants with bachelor’s degrees should possess relevant industry experience. If the successful applicant possesses a bachelor’s degree, the university may require, based upon the level of industry experience, that the applicant commit to complete a master’s degree within three years of the date of hire as a condition of employment.

Pilot requirements include:  U.S. FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate, airplane category, with multi-engine and instrument rating; U.S. FAA Certified Flight Instructor Certificate; U.S. FAA Remote Pilot Certificate; U.S. FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate.

SALARY:  Commensurate with education and experience. Benefits include university supplemented health insurance and TIAA–CREF.
