Credit By Departmental Exam

Students may be given permission by the course instructor to earn course credit by a departmental examination. Permission of the instructor and College Dean are required, and students must enroll in the course and will be charged for credits earned. A-F letter grades are not permitted. Students who pass their examination will be awarded a grade of “CR.” Students wishing to earn credit by departmental examination must obtain a form from the Registrar’s Office.

Students are allowed a maximum of 30 credit hours from examination to count toward graduation of a bachelor degree. The 30 hour maximum is accross all forms of credit by examination, which include CLEP, AP, DSST, AP, IB, Departmental & Microsoft Certifications.
