Master of Business Administration
Henderson State University's Master of Business Administration (MBA) is a popular program preparing and positioning executives for leadership and management positions in business, government, healthcare, and numerous other industries. The Henderson MBA is fully accredited by AACSB, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. The 30-hour MBA program consists of several general business courses providing students with the broad knowledge needed to be successful in a business career. In addition, advisors work with each student to find the electives that best compliment and prepare students for specific professions. The 30-hour program is offered as a General MBA, MBA with a concentration in Accounting and MBA with a concentration in Public Management. Henderson's MBA program is affordable; students can complete the 30-hour program within one calendar year. The course schedule is flexible to allow students to enroll on a full-time or part-time basis. Students may start the program in the fall, spring, or summer semesters, and it's possible to complete the program by taking only evening and late afternoon classes. Flexible options are explored to increase the convenience for students to continue their education.
The School of Business offers graduate courses in Hot Springs and on-line. Through a rotation system with courses in Arkadelphia, Hot Springs, and on-line, students can complete the requirements for the MBA degree from HSU on a part-time basis in just two years. Most of these courses are offered in the evening to allow working professionals the opportunity to pursue a graduate degree.
The MBA at Henderson State University is taught by highly qualified faculty with doctoral degrees or professionally qualified instructors with rich business experience. Classes are small giving the student an opportunity to receive valuable individual attention.
The HSU School of Business has developed a variety of experiences to enhance their students’ education. Students develop additional knowledge to gain upward career mobility necessary for advancement in their career through our focus on Business beyond the Classroom; this includes the Business Mentorship Experience and participation in the Ross Whipple Student-Managed Investment Fund. These and many other opportunities to develop personal skills and professionalism sets HSU students apart as being highly qualified and prepared for their career choice.
