Housing Application

StarRez allows students to complete their housing application(s), select roommate(s), room, pay application fee (if applicable), and select a meal plan online. The software also allows for a streamlined check-in process when students arrive in the fall, eliminating paperwork and lines.

In order for you to complete the online housing application you must be a fully admitted Henderson student. You will need access to your student username and password. This information can be found with your acceptance letter to the university.

Henderson State University has a mandatory residency requirement for all students. If you plan to live off campus please double check the policy to make sure you are eligible to live off campus. Students living off campus that do not meet the eligibility requirements may be charged for housing. 

To begin the application process please follow the following steps:

  1. Login to your MyHenderson account.
  2. Click on the tab at the top of the page titled Housing Portal.
  3. Click on the link at the bottom of the page to access your StarRez account.
  4. Begin the application by following the instructions and steps provided. Please remember to select the term that you are applying for.

Once you have completed the application process through StarRez you will be contacted about room selection via email to your student email account.

It is never too early to get this application in to us because applications are processed on a first come, first serve basis. Also, the application asks for your student ID number. You received this upon admission to the university. We cannot open a file for you without this number. Do not send your application in until you have this ID number.

Students requesting special modifications because of ADA - The Office of Residence Life does not make these type of room assignments without the aid of the Office of Disability Services.
