What Happens Next
Congratulations! You're a Reddie, and we're glad to have you joining our family.
There are a few things to take care of before you start college, so we've put together a list and more information on what happens next.
- Submit the FAFSA form.
- Check your MyHenderson account and university email. You received information on both your MyHenderson account and Henderson email account in your acceptance letter. Call the Help Desk at 870-230-5678 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays if you need assistance.
- Submit immunization records.
- Submit final transcripts to the Office of Admissions.
- Apply for housing.
- Register for Heart Start Orientation. All first-time freshmen and transfer students who are fully admitted are invited to attend Heart Start. This is your opportunity to meet the administration, faculty, staff, and other new students at Henderson.
Your first year will also include some exciting times with your classmates in the First Year Experience (FYE) and Henderson Seminar.
First Year Experience
The First Year Experience program helps new and transfer students adjust to college life at Henderson. FYE will introduce you to a wide range of majors and careers to help you discover and define your interests and abilities as well as learn professional skills essential to any career, such as team building, presentation and writing skills, decision making and group skills. This program will also help you with personal development.
In support of Henderson’s mission, Henderson Seminar’s mission is to facilitate the transition of first-time freshmen to the university by introducing them to academic expectations and support services and by fostering engagement in university life beyond the classroom.
