Reddie Rockets - NAR Section 777

Reddie Rockets is a local section of the National Association of Rocketry. We are developing events for all age groups throughout the year. It is a great way to show our children and our community that science is active and science is accessible. (Besides, who doesn't love launching stuff?)

Reddie Rockets are open to all ages.

The club is open to all ages. Adults and teenagers can be certified to run the high powered rocket launches if they become members of the national organization. We will have workshops and activities geared for elementary-aged children, as well. Our events are open to the public and we can set up special events to work with individual groups (like church groups, Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts).

We are looking for local land to hold a high-power launch. We require a space that has a minimum dimension of 500 yards on each side, relatively clear and flat, and without occupied buildings.  Once we find a space that fits these requirements, we will file for an FAA waiver and will get our site approved for insurance purposes.  Site insurance is available through NAR. If you have any leads, please let us know.
