Jordan Argo joined Henderson State University in 2015 as its social media strategist. He has since helped strengthen Henderson’s social media presence through the creation of Snapchat and Pinterest accounts. A 2008 graduate of Hannibal-LaGrange University, Argo worked within sports information for seven years prior to joining Henderson. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in sports administration from Henderson.
Martha Allen Bryant is an Administrative Specialist III in the Marketing and Communications department at Henderson State University. She has been with Henderson State University for 22 years, with 18 years in this department and 4 years in the Business Office. Bryant specializes in accounting and bookkeeping, but she loves to learn new things, and the Office of Marketing and Communications has opened new doors for her. She plans to retire from Henderson State.
Steve Fellers joined Henderson State in 2006 as media relations coordinator following 25 years editing newspapers where he won numerous awards for writing, photography and page design. A 1983 graduate of Henderson with a degree in mass media communications, Fellers was editor of the Oracle and served as news director for KSWH, the campus radio station. He has also been a photojournalist for more than 30 years, and a professional wedding and portrait photographer for more than 10 years.
Tonya Oaks Smith
Tonya Oaks Smith joined Henderson State University as its executive director of marketing and communications in February 2014. Since then, she has helped define the university's goals in relation to increasing the Henderson profile for its new strategic plan, Beyond the Horizon. Before joining Henderson, Smith served the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in its Office of Communications and William H. Bowen School of Law. She is a member of the Board of Directors for the Higher Education Web Professionals Organization and of the Foundation Fund Board for Youth Home Inc.
